Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Can you make an antenna multiplexer for 5 UHF antennas?

Answer: Yes, I do.  Here is an example: 23_37_52, 27_41_55, 48, 50_58, 33.  But also this multiplexer can have, let's say three more VHF inputs 04, 06, 11.

2. Is it possible to watch SKY channels in Bosnia?

Answer: Yes, certainly. I can help about. You just bring your receiver with the card. I have the rest...

3. Why I can't have very good pictures with my antenna system, as I have been having it since I had bought it, 3 years ago?  I have also one multiplexer for these antennas and amplifier.

Answer: Complicated question.  There is not enough details to explain the question, but...Probably new programs appeared. New programs have different angles. You need few more antennas for your antenna system.  Your multiplexer doesn't match and you should buy new responding one with more antenna inputs.   Actually you will need to provide new antenna system.

4. Do you have an antenna for channel 04?

Yes, I do, I developed my own very light model.  Take a look!

5.  How can I put together cables from both terrestrial and satellite system?

There are two connectors on the rear side of your receiver, male one and female one. Connect your terrestrial TV cable (that one that's going from the roof ) to a female connector which takes place on the rear panel of the receiver.  Then connect male connector which takes places on the rear panel of your receiver to your TV set.  Connect coaxial cable, which is going from the satellite dish, to a female F socket which takes place on the rear panel of your receiver, as well.

6. Do you install satellite antennas?

Yes, I do, both digital and analogue.

7. Can you modify my multiplexer, I already have. It has inputs 2-4, 5-12, 21-69.  I want to add one more input for fourth antenna. I found two more programs with that new antenna.

Sorry, there is no way.  It doesn't worth to do it.  It's much easier to make new one than modify  your old multiplexer except if has it been developed like a channel oriented multiplexer. ( But your one is not ).  In such a case of channel oriented antenna filter, the best way  is to convert to manufacturer to ask about to make wanted modification. Question is, did they anticipated a possibility of adding new channels. Is there a place in the box but for any new filter? I modify only channel oriented multiplexers, I developed and made but had had anticipated for later modifications. Take a look at  AMPX10. It has very big advantage in relation to later modifications.  It is a very good organized multiplexer. I spent a lot of time to make possibility of adding new channels in most cases.  But, I must tell you that it is not possible every time for every case. Example follows: You have channels 48, 56, 58 and 63 at one input of your multiplexer in between 11 others  existing channels.  Now, you want to add one more antenna for channel 57 on different input. It is very hard to separate channel 57 from 56 and 58 and also there is no place in the box for the filter for channel 57.  But multiplexer AMPX10 gives you very good possibilities for later adding even more channels. The example, I used to explain, was a very special one.

8. I live in a flat.  There is a socket on the wall in my dining room, but with weak existing TV signals.  Could I improve it with one of your amplifiers?

Sorry, not possible.  The problem is with the existing channel amplifiers, those that are located somewhere close to the roof of the building. To late to improve at that point of the distribution network.

9. Do you use any monitor when install antennas?

Yes, I use EP 507A .

10. Why couldn't I connected my two antennas directly? As a matter of fact, I have good picture when using antennas separately.

Every antenna has its own characteristic impedance as well as radiation diagram.
If you connect antennas directly to each other you will have changed both antenna characteristics. Then you will receive (at least) two signals, direct wave with your first antenna and reflected one ( from the hill...) from a different direction with your second antenna. ( pretty simplified ) Anyway, reflected waves are coming late in comparison to the direct ones that you will see many ghosts on the screen instead of the clean picture you had had before you added second antenna.
So you should use adequate antenna filters ( multiplexer) for connecting two or more antennas in order to form antenna system.

11. Why couldn't I got clear picture taking the antenna all around my house and yard also, for the program that has been coming from the South. Actually, one program has been coming from the South and two of them from the North-East. There was no any problem with North-East programs but I have always been having so many ghosts in the picture of the program that has been coming from the South. I think I have used adequate multiplexer.  If I had used an amplifier the picture started to being worse.

There is probably a big hill in between the transmitter on the south-side and your house. The hill is not far away from the yard.  There are probably few more big and high hills at the back of the first one. Signal from the transmitter is strong but there is no optical view from the yard to the transmitter.  In such a case, you can't receive direct wave but you have received many reflected waves those that are coming late but with time difference in between all of them.  If there is no dominant one in between all of them you have thousand of ghosts on the screen even if you point your antenna to a the biggest and the highest hill at the back.  Furthermore you are lucky if the picture is stable on the screen.  The sync-separator inside your TV set is pretty good one.
